In which she challenges her creator

There was no way her creator, Evan E. Lambert, could find her here. Not in the Maldives. Why would he even think of such a place? It wasn’t like he had a world map in his room that he just randomly pointed to whenever he wanted a setting for a new story.

“Oh, he does?” she said, after Jasper corrected her. (They were lovers now.)

Jasper was exasperated; he wished Lisa would just enjoy their vacation. “Yes. That’s literally how he chooses settings for stories whenever he’s visiting his parents in Virginia.”

“OK, but he couldn’t possibly write another story about me so soon after the re-quel where I met you! No one is insane enough to write a short story every day when they only have five paid subscribers.”
